WHO WE ARE
All Paws on Deck is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Griswold, Connecticut, dedicated to rescuing pregnant dogs and their puppies from overcrowded shelters where they face the highest risk of euthanasia.
We operate entirely through a network of foster homes, where every rescue receives individualized care from dedicated volunteers. No kennels. No cages. Just real homes and real love.
How Gracie Changed Everything
THE STORY BEHIND IT ALL
After a year of rescue applications going unanswered, Susana submitted a foster application with a local rescue, and it was approved. That's how Gracie arrived: a 2-year-old mixed breed, scared but sweet, and very much pregnant.
She spent countless hours preparing....researching whelping, making Gracie comfortable, staying close. Then one night, Gracie made her way to the whelping box by the couch. Her water broke. And before they knew it, there were six puppies.
Gracie won their hearts, their couch, and their bed. And just like that, Susana's foster career was over, and All Paws on Deck was born.
There are so many Gracies in shelters. Mothers whose puppies got adopted quickly, but who were left behind. This rescue exists so that every Gracie — and every one of her pups — finds their forever home.
